With the next televised tournament planned for April 2023, in Hong Kong, FairBreak promises to build on the tremendous and ground-breaking event played in Dubai in May 2022, by continuing to unearth the world’s most talented female cricketers and provide them with a global platform to shine.

Sydney, Australia (30^th April 2022) – Fourteen broadcast partners have been selected to carry live coverage of the 2022 SDG FairBreak Invitational T20 into 142 territories across the world. The tournament will showcase some of the best female cricketers from across the globe playing alongside a powerful mix of emerging talent in a world-first event.

A combination of traditional TV broadcasters and new OTT (Over-the-top Television) and digital only platforms will maximise distribution and availability of content to fans of all ages. All of cricket’s key nations are covered in these broadcast deals in addition to other countries including Mongolia, Kuwait, Finland, Taiwan and many others.

BeIN Sports will broadcast across Australia on both their TV and digital channels. BeIN Sports is available on Foxtel and to stream on Kayo, Foxtel Go, Foxtel Now and BeIN Sports Connect.

Coverage in the UAE (the host territory) will be via Etisalat who will broadcast every match LIVE via eLife and STARZ Play. Fans can also attend the tournament live at Dubai International Stadium.

In India, the Dream Sports platform, FanCode, will bring digital coverage to 40 million sports fans, and cross promotion via Dream11 to an additional 100 million subscribers. This will be complemented with TV coverage on Eurosport.

State broadcaster, PTV, will broadcast matches exclusively into Pakistan on PTV Sports and the PTV Sports App.

SportsMax, the premium broadcaster in the Caribbean, will broadcast to 1.3 million households across 25 Caribbean Island nations and territories.

SKY Sport continues its support of women’s cricket with superstars Suzie Bates, Sophie Devine and Katey Martin representing New Zealand. All matches will be broadcast live in NZ across SKY Sport channels and the Fan Pass App.

FreeSports will broadcast into the United Kingdom, Ireland and Continental Europe. They have unrivalled reach across the UK, with availability of the channel into 18 million homes complemented by the FreeSports App.

Sydney, Australia (27^th April, 2022) – Thirteen match officials have been appointed for the inaugural SDG FairBreak Invitational Women’s T20 event to be held in Dubai May 1st to 15th.

Former ICC international umpire, Simon Taufel, leads an officiating team from nine countries. Simon will be the mentor umpire assisting with performance development functions for the FairBreak officiating team. He is joined by other ICC international experienced umpires in Claire Polosak (Australia), Jacquline Williams (West Indies), Kim Cotton (New Zealand) and Lauren Agenbag (South Africa), who recently officiated in the ICC T20 Women’s World Cup. Men’s and Women’s ICC Test Referee, Steve Bernard, is also part of the officials appointed and he brings a wealth of experience, accompanied by fellow Match Referee, Shandre Fritz from South Africa.

In announcing the FairBreak Officials Team, Tournament Director R.V.Venkatesh says, “This is a ground-breaking event which brings together the best of the women cricketers from 35 countries, with Full Member Nation and Associate Nation players competing together in the same tournament. The officials, as the 7th team, have 7 women umpires, befitting players of a top-level Women’s Tournament. We believe that this is the first time in cricketing history that 7 women umpires are part of the umpiring panel in an ICC sanctioned tournament. Including the Match Referee, Shandre Fritz, the officials’ team has 8 women, a record, showing FairBreak’ s commitment for women’s equality and women’s development.”

Accepting the appointment, Simon Taufel says, “I’m honoured to be part of the match officials team for this event and looking forward to supporting the 7^th team here perform well at a premium women’s event. We have a diverse group of experience, gender, and abilities and we will all be looking to develop these further, using the collective intelligence of the team. The SDG FairBreak Invitational 2022 Women’s T20 event will be played at Dubai International Stadium starting on May 1^st and culminating with the Final on May 15th. Comprising six teams, involving more than 90 players from 35 countries, it promises to be an exciting and important event for women’s cricket.

Sydney, Australia (1 April, 2022) – West Indies captain, Stafanie Taylor, is thrilled to be skippering a powerful and diverse mix of notable and emerging female cricketers at the SDG FairBreak Invitational T20 in Dubai next month.

Taylor has highly accomplished Pakistan players Diana Baig and Aliya Riaz in her ranks as well as New Zealand captain Sophie Devine and fellow White Fern, Katey Martin. All five players have displayed passion and skill representing their countries at the Cricket World Cup in New Zealand recently.

Seasoned FairBreaker, Sterre Kalis from the Netherlands, also appears in the Tornadoes line up and will bring a wealth of experience to the team.
